• SCENE-SETTER: Matthew 24:3,6-7: "...the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? ... [And Jesus answered] And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places."
  
  
• Regarding wars and rumors of wars: history is replete with wars and conflicts at all levels spanning nation-state to tribal, all the way to present-day, with the joint U.S.-Israel offensive operation launched against Iran on-or-about Saturday, March 28, 2026
  
  
  • Founding pastor John C. Hagee of Cornerstone Church / Hagee Ministries (who just celebrated his 68th year of ministry) said he believes Russia ("Gog" or "King of the North") will be pulled toward invading Israel because of the prophecy in the book of Ezekiel and that Israel has what Russia wants and needs to remain a global force: oil and a warm water port (click HERE)
    
    
    • Ezekiel 38:3-5,15-16: "And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog ... I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, ... Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them ... and thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army and thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes."
    
    
  • Pastor Hagee then cites future verses from Ezekiel (below) on what happens to the armies that converge against Israel, which includes (but may not be limited to) Russia, Iran, Turkey and small Islamic groups (click HERE)
    
    
    • EVENT 1 of 3: an earthquake that swallows up one-third of the army (Ezekiel 38:19-20) -- similar to the one that swallowed up the worshipers of the golden calf idol when Moses' returned from the mountain with the 10 Commandments stone tablets
      
      
    • EVENT 2 of 3: armies' weapons turned against itself that kill the second-third -- what the military calls "friendly fire" (Ezekiel 38:21)
      
      
    • EVENT 3 of 3: a raining of fire and brimstone agsint the remaining third, similar to Sodom and Gomorrah (Ezekiel 38:22)
      
      
    • Ezekiel 38:23: and this final verse of the chapter may partially answer why Jesus said, in the above Matthew verse, why wars must come to pass: "Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the Lord."
  
  
• Regarding famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes: famines and earthquakes are well-known and recurring to this day, but what about pestilences?
  
  
  • Merriam-Webster dictionary defines a pestilence as, "a contagious or infectious epidemic disease that is virulent and devastating"
    
    
  • One of the names given to COVID-19 was "global pandemic" where a pandemic is an epidemic that crosses continents and countries; so it was the world's most recent pestilience not seen since the Spanish flu pandemic 102 years prior
  
  
• Matthew 24:10: Jesus continued, "And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another."
  
  
  • "Offended" likely means the response by those to the public proclaiming and of the Bible, Gospel and Jesus; the consequences of not accepting Him as Lord and Savior; and condemning of the growing global behaviors that are contrary to the Bible, such as homosexuality (Leviticus 18:22)
    
    
    • History records many martyrs who--if they could not be silenced--were plotted to be killed or were persecuted/assassinated, from Stephen the first Christian martyr (Acts 7:52-60), to those cited in "Foxe's Book of Martyrs" by John Foxe, to today's generation of Christians around the world who are individually targeted and indiscriminantly rounded up in groups and persecuted/killed
    
    
  • "betray one another, and shall hate one another" includes family members betraying and killing each other, as Jesus stated would happen in the last days (Matthew 10:21)

• Matthew 24:12: Jesus continued, "And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold."
  
  
  • "the love of many shall wax cold" connects to 2 Timothy 3:2-3 which states "For men shall be ... without natural affection..." which indicates a lack of love and compassion toward others
    
    
  • The end result of this is less effective churches and spiritual organizations and less people joining of them, potentially resulting in the closing of these churches and organizations
  
  
• Accountability
  
  
  • Romans 14:12: after the end times, in the day of Judgment, each of us will give an account of our lives: the acts of commission (the things we chose to do that we knew were wrong) and the acts of omission (things we didn't do that we should have)
    
    
    • An example of omission by Evangelist Steve
      
      
      • He was in a rush to get in and out of a convenience store and saw what appeared to be a homeless man sitting on the curb
        
      • He heard the Holy Spirit's call to go talk to him now
        
      • As the man got up and walked into the store, Steve tried to bargain, saying, "if he's still out here when I come back out, I will talk to him"
        
      • When Steve came back out, the man was back outside
      
      
    • As such, we all will have to answer for those things we let go by or walked away from, to avoid, when we knew we should've taken an action at that immediate moment
    
    
  • Matthew 12:36-37: This includes everything we have ever said, as Jesus stated, "But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned"

• A lot of the signs of the end times besides wars are growing more and more: famines, pestilences, natural disasters, betrayal, hate (including toward Christianity and anti-semitism), and the loss of love and compassion toward others
  
  
• This increase of sin and chaos will cause many to lose the faith and empathy and that's why it's more important than ever to do our part to not only let others know the Gospel but to reassure them not to fear wars and these things, as they must happen
  
  
• Therefore, let us be even more accountable to God for our actions to make the most of reaching the lost in these end of days, where we act on when we hear the Holy Spirit's calling in a particular moment without debate or delay
